China Competition Spotlighted in House Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee Hearing

The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health recently held a hearing, Examining Policies to Enhance Seniors’ Access to Breakthrough Medical Technologies, to examine policies aimed at improving seniors’ access to cutting-edge health innovation.

 

During the hearing, Stephen Ezell, vice president for global innovation policy at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF) and director of ITIF’s Center for Life Sciences Innovation, spoke about the pressing need for Congress to legislate policies that foster innovation in the U.S., particularly as China continues to pour investment into the life sciences space.
